Message From our Board President

Dear Friends,

Congratulations on a tremendously successful 20th TIGLFF! Thank you for your support and for coming out to experience the festival films and parties. 2009 was a banner year for GLBT filmmaking and the feedback from you the audience has been overwhelmingly positive.

Attendance grew by nearly 12% for TIGLFF 20 and we will end the year financially sound. Thanks to the help of the St. Petersburg/Clearwater Film Commission we had many leading filmmakers and stars in attendance. Not only did they love the experience here in Tampa Bay, but they also got to see what a dynamic area this is for shooting upcoming film projects.
As we enter a new year you can be proud of your home community, which has once again demonstrated how important this Film Festival is to both its audience and GLBT filmmakers.

In November three new board members were elected. Congratulations to Toni Russell, Robert Jaquay and Gary Smith! They each bring great depth of experience, skill and commitment to our work in building an even better future.

If you would like to get involved in helping serve on a committee this year we can use your energy and talents. The Film Festival is a fantastic place to serve your community and we welcome your service. If you are interested please contact bill@tiglff.com.

The work has already begun to produce TIGLFF 21 and we can use your help raising funds. Cash flow for the festival is tight into the spring so if you can swing it please consider a tax deductable donation now.
